Size Guide

Vionetto's collection is built around formal and evening dresses, so getting the right size starts with understanding your own measurements and then matching them carefully to the information each product page provides. Because fit varies from one gown to another, the guidance below is meant to help you make a confident decision — not to replace the specific details on the item you're considering.

What You'll Find on Product Pages

Most Vionetto dresses are offered in letter sizes ranging from XS through 3XL, though the exact range available depends on the individual style. When you open a product page, look for these elements before deciding:

  • Size chart: Many gowns include a table with bust, waist, hip, and length measurements in inches. The length figure refers to the garment itself, so you can compare it against a dress you already own and love.
  • Fit description: Some styles are labeled slim fit, regular fit, or body-skimming, and a few note whether the fabric includes stretch. These descriptions apply only to that specific dress.
  • Measurement tolerance: Several product pages state that manual measurements may vary by 0.4–1.2 inches. This is normal for hand-finished formal wear and is worth keeping in mind when your numbers land near a size boundary.
  • Between-size guidance: A number of gowns recommend sizing up if you fall between two sizes, particularly for styles with structured bodices or a desired fluid drape. This advice is product-specific, so always check the page for the dress you're viewing.

Measuring Yourself Accurately

Use a soft, flexible tape measure and wear form-fitting undergarments or the type of foundation you plan to wear with the dress. Stand naturally with your arms relaxed at your sides.

Bust: Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, keeping it level across your back and parallel to the floor. Don't pull tight — the tape should sit snugly against your skin without compressing.

Waist: Find the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above your navel. Measure around this point while standing upright and breathing normally. If you're unsure where your natural waist is, bend slightly to one side; the crease that forms marks the spot.

Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, typically 7–9 inches below your waist. Keep the tape horizontal and let it glide smoothly over your body without digging in.

Write down each number to the nearest half inch. These are your body measurements — they describe you, not the dress. Product size charts may list either body measurements or finished garment dimensions, so read the chart header carefully to know which you're comparing.

Putting It All Together

Once you have your body measurements, open the specific product page and compare each number to the chart provided for that dress. Consider the fit description alongside your personal preference: someone who likes a closer silhouette may choose differently than someone who wants ease through the hips or a flowing drape.

Because Vionetto carries over 200 styles, size ranges, fit notes, and chart data are not identical across the collection. A size that works well in one gown may feel different in another. The product page is your most reliable reference for any single item.
